Patient-Focused Recovery for Eating Disorders

At The Meadows Ranch, we explore the underlying issues and understand the specific needs of women and girls who are suffering from an eating disorder. Our individualized treatment program is geared towards recovery from any range of psychological disorders characterized by abnormal or disturbed eating habits, including unsuccessful previous treatment. This pattern of eating leads to disruption in one’s behaviors, thinking, and mood, and can eventually leave one unable to function in any number of areas: interpersonal relationships, social situations, school, and work. Eventually, it can lead to serious disruptions in overall health.

The first couple of days at The Meadows Ranch are designed to help us know more about your health and history, while simultaneously orienting you to the program. You will receive your patient handbook and learn about the evaluation process, program philosophy, and guidelines for living in the community. During this time, you will meet with a primary care provider for a history and physical; you will also meet with a psychiatric provider for evaluation. Psychological assessments will be administered to help us better structure your treatment plan. You will also meet with one of our registered dietitians to discuss your food plan. We are committed to laying the groundwork to prepare a treatment plan that is patient-focused and uniquely tailored to you. When all assessments are completed, you will begin participating in the program.
