Eating Disorder Therapy
Our treatment process begins with a series of comprehensive assess¬ments to ensure that we have a clear understanding of the issues. Our focus is on Exposure with Response Prevention, including nutrition and culinary training to develop daily living skills. Levels Of Care
Acute Eating Disorder Care
Our Critical Care Inpatient Unit helps critically underweight patients achieve medical stabilization, weight restoration, and nutritional rehabilitation in a safe and home-like environment. Patients received the highest level of care from our 24-hour nursing staff and our highly qualified team of doctors, psychiatrists, dieticians, and therapists. Our facility is fully accredited by The Joint Commission based on our outstanding patient safety record and quality of care.
Residential Eating Disorder Treatment
Girls who are ready to learn how to disempower their eating disorders by uncovering the complex psychological factors contributing their unhealthy relationship with food will benefit from our residential treatment program.
Our spacious residential environment allows patients to feel comfortable and at home while they begin the arduous journey of recovery. Our staff sits down for meals with patients for friendly conversation while monitoring eating patterns and food intake. During meal times our clinicians develop an understanding of the patients thinking patterns and help them learn to establish healthy eating patterns.
Our culinary training program helps patients develop the daily living skills to prepare nutritional meals upon their return home. This training includes hands-on use of common kitchen equipment and the necessary cooking skills needed for success.
The girls at Sunflower also have access to a challenging academic program, facilitated by Alta Independent, our online learning partner. They offer nearly 300 courses for middle school and high school students to help ensure Meadows Ranch patients don’t miss a beat. They are adept at working with students who are currently receiving care at a treatment center and want to continue making progress in their education.
